This year’s Club Challenge timber was Jelutong (dyera costulata).
Each member was provided with one superfoot of timber (a piece with a volume of 144 cubic inches).
The timber this year was generously supplied by The Bearded Bloke Timber Collectiveof Oak Flats, who also had a wonderful selection of slabs, boards and turning blanks on display across the Expo weekend.
The winner of the People’s Choice award this year was David Bywater, for his shell and octopus bandsaw box.
Second place was awarded to Keith Houston for his blacksmith’s shop model.
Third place went to Tony Walsh for his trapezoidal box.
Congratulations to the winners, and a heartfelt thanks to all who entered and helped make this another enjoyable event.
